C-Tick is part of Electromagnetic of Australia, administrated by ACA(Australia Community Association). The regulation began to enforce as from Jan. 01, 1999 and only for electromagnetic interference.
The electrical and electronic products are divided into 3 levels based on their expected emission of electromagnetic disturbance risks: Low risk products(Level 1); Mid-risk products(Level 2) and High risk products(Level 3). Before sale for level 2 and 3 products, the EMI inspection is needed, endorsed by the Australia importers, register to ACMA for application to use C-Tick certification. This marking can be replaced by RCM signifying compliance with electromagnetic compatibility requirements.
The electromagnetic compatibility requirements mainly include mandatory EMI requirement, Partly EMC items also include the following mandatory requirements: Conduction disturbances, intermittent interference (the click), radiation interference.
The manufacturer and importers shall follow the process to use A-Tick:
1. Perform test according to ACAQ technical standards;
2. Register to ACA to use A/C-Tick;
3. Fill in declaration of conformity form and saved together with the product conformity record;
4. Paste A/C-Tick Label on communication products or equipment;
