GS means “Geprufte Sicherheit” in Germany, that’s equal to “Tested Safety” in English.
GS mark indicates the product safety has passed the tests by credible independent organization. GS mark is a powerful marketing tool that can enhance customer confidence and desire to buy. In Germany and Europe, GS mark has very high credibility and with wide acceptance. Although the GS is a German standard, most European countries agree. The product with GS mark pass the CE requirements as well. Unlike CE Mark, GS mark is not legally required, but because of security awareness has deeply penetrated ordinary consumers, the products with GS certification are more competitive than ordinary certified products.

- household appliances, such as refrigerators, washing machines, kitchen appliances and so on.
- household machinery.
- sports goods.
- home electronics devices, such as audio-visual equipment.
- electrical and electronic office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, shredders, computers, printers and so on.

- other security-related products such as bicycles, helmets, ladders, furniture and so on.
Process for GS certification

This list includes all parts of the product model, manufacturer, part number and the relevant parameters (current, voltage, power, flame retardant grade, etc.). For a safety certification of the components, such as: power cords, plugs, switches, thermostats, fuses, etc., to provide European certificate copy. Safety-related parts and components, without having safety certification, please provide the technical parameters, including product type, manufacturer, rated current, voltage, temperature, etc., in order to be randomly tested by us.
4. Parts contacted with food (if any)
Provides food hygiene license file issued by the authority for the materials (plastics, coatings, etc.)

GS certification requires inspection of the factory. For manufacturer first applying for GS certification, factory inspection must be carried out before certification; additionally, the issuing agency should conduct routine factory inspection annually.
