FCC (Federal Communications Commission) is administration sector for American telecommunication, is a independent organization and directly responsible to congress.

FCC coordinates the national and international communication through controlling the radio, television, telecommunication, satellite and cable, ensuring the radio and cable communication safety related with life and wealth.

The FCC approve is needed if most radio application appliances, communication appliances and digital appliances entering into America market. FCC regulates the import and use of radio frequency devices, including computers, fax machines, electronic devices, radio reception and transmission equipment, radio controlled toys, telephones, personal computers and other products that may harm personal safety. Before these products export to America market, the tests and approve shall be processed by laboratory authorized by government.

According to Federal Communication Rule(Part CFR 47), the electronic products entering into America market need to pass electromagnetic requirements (unless specified in other related clauses). There are 3 kinds of licensing methods: Certification, DOC and Verification. The licensing method for certain product is regulated in FCC rules.

Product range for FCC certification includes office machinery, electronic toys, televisions and microwave ovens, personal computers, CD players, copiers, radios, fax machines, video game consoles and other products.
These products can be divided according to use A, B two categories, A class for business or industrial use products, B class is used for home-use products, because home users generally lack the specialized technical skills and household appliances security environment is not as industrial office environment, FCC class B certified product requirements are relatively stringent.
